Nicholas R. “Nick” Martinez

I enjoy getting to know my clients and helping them find effective solutions to their legal problems.

Nick Martinez is a Harrisonburg attorney at Wharton Aldhizer & Weaver. He is a valuable member of our team, supporting the firm’s partners and associates in researching and strategizing for our diverse clients. Nick studied Engineering at the South Dakota School of Mines & Technology and brings that strong scientific background to his legal career, focusing on intellectual property law and complex litigation. While pursuing his legal degree at Washington & Lee University School of Law in Lexington, VA, he acted as a legal research assistant for Professor Hu, who studies the intersection between data and communication. This experience provided a unique and critical opportunity for him to translate high-level legal research and precedence to a non-legal audience. Those skills are invaluable, and we are certainly thrilled to have him on our team, providing clear and consistent communication. While attending W&L, Nick also participated in the Patent Litigation Practicum, going through each step of the process, from drafting the complaint to making closing arguments. Nicholas is excited to implement his education into everyday practice on the OSHA team at Wharton Aldhizer & Weaver.
