Wills and Trusts Paralegal:
Wharton Aldhizer & Weaver PLC seeks a full-time wills and trusts paralegal for our Harrisonburg office. Responsibilities include assisting with compilation of estate planning documents, probate forms, inventories, correspondence, calculations, transfers, and accountings to be filed with the Commissioner of Accounts. Preference will be given to candidates with prior trust department or paralegal experience, working knowledge of subject matter tax returns (Forms 706, 709, and 1041) and electronic bookkeeping experience.
WAW is also seeking a full-time legal secretary for supporting sophisticated and challenging legal work. Successful candidates should possess strong word processing skills, ability to transcribe and have strong organizational capabilities in a fast-paced environment. Other responsibilities include file management, legal document preparation and overseeing calendars relating to case files and attorneys schedules. Preference will be given to candidates that have experience with court filings, real estate settlements, and estate and trust correspondences.
The candidate must display excellent organizational skills, ability to work independently within a team-oriented structure, strong communication and interpersonal skills, advanced computer knowledge, have the ability to work independently, and be able to multi-task as required.
