Jeromy J. Henning Joins WAW’s OSHA Team

WAW Welcomes New Harrisonburg Lawyer, Jeromy J. Henning

HARRISONBURG, VA — 2025 has been a year of growth at Wharton Aldhizer & Weaver, and we’re pleased to announce the newest Harrisonburg lawyer to join our team — Jeromy J. Henning. Jermony joins us after earning his law degree from William & Mary Law School. With his top-tier education and practical courtroom experience, Jeromy is well-prepared to serve WAW’s clients.

Internship & Externship Experiences Shaped Jeromy’s Career

Jeromy’s legal training prepared him to serve clients with diligence. First, as an extern at the Legal Aid Society of Eastern Virginia, he conducted legal research and writing for a range of civil cases. As an intern at Richmond Criminal Law, PLLC, he had the opportunity to represent clients in Richmond City General District Court, refining his advocacy skills. Finally, as an extern at the New Kent County Office of the Commonwealth’s Attorney, Jeromy successfully prosecuted misdemeanor cases and created persuasive supporting memoranda. These valuable experiences helped him grow and evolve as an attorney, preparing him to represent and advocate for WAW’s clients.

Distinguished Military Career Brings Strength to the Courtroom

What sets Jeromy apart from many of his peers is that he began his law career after a 30-year military career. Jeromy is a retired United States Army Sergeant Major who served in Operations Iraqi Freedom and Enduring Freedom, and a former U.S. Marine who deployed to Operations Desert Shield and Desert Storm. In the Army, Jeromy worked in high-stakes environments, ensuring that nothing hindered his ability to achieve every assigned mission successfully. We are confident he will bring that same determination to his work at WAW.

“The discipline, focus, and determination to get a job done right with the requisite attention to detail is an entire approach that I’ve brought forward from my previous 30-year career in the military.”

Jeromy’s Perseverance Will Be An Asset to the OSHA Practice Area

Jeromy will be working closely with our partners to help grow the OSHA practice area. His solutions-oriented mindset will support clients as they address legal challenges, train employees, and prepare for inspections.

“Integrity and perseverance are my daily drivers. I will truly give my all to help others.”

– Jeromy J. Henning

Outside of his professional pursuits, Jeromy enjoys riding his motorcycle, practicing archery, and watching other people get excited about pickleball—one of the nation’s fastest-growing sports. Another fun fact is that he has run a full marathon, although he’s decided once was enough.

Please join us in welcoming Jeromy. We look forward to the valuable contributions he will bring to our firm and clients.
