Your New Harrisonburg Lawyer for Workplace Safety & OSHA Compliance

Joining the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) team, Andy is committed to helping businesses operate safely and responsibly. As an associate attorney, he offers guidance on OSHA compliance, represents clients during inspections and defends against citations. Andy’s approach goes beyond standard legal steps—he focuses on each client’s end goals and explores practical (and sometimes unconventional) solutions to achieve them.

Andy’s Education Fueled His Research-Driven Legal Approach

Andy earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from Washington and Lee University School of Law, where he was inducted into the prestigious Order of the Coif. During law school, he served as the lead online editor for the Washington and Lee Law Review and a student caseworker at the Black Lung Clinic. At the Clinic, he represented coal miners and their widows seeking federal black lung benefits, gaining hands-on experience in client interviews, legal research, discovery and federal court.

This practical training, combined with his undergraduate degree in liberal arts from St. John’s College, honed Andy’s research, problem-solving, and lifelong learning skills—essential tools for tackling the complex legal issues he faces daily on WAW’s team.
